Charles Wesley Railey

Charles Wesley Railey, 86, died Monday, May 3. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Davis and Effie Mae Cassidy Railey. Mr. Railey was a carpenter and a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was also a US Army veteran having served in World War II.

Surviving are a daughter, Mildred Stevens of Kershaw; sons, John W. Railey and Robert L. Railey both of Kershaw; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchldren; and a sister, Eva Mae Thompson of Indian Trail, NC. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Tillman Railey.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church Building Fund, 7760 Old Jefferson Hwy., Kershaw, SC 29067.
