Celeste Yvonne Whitley

Celeste Yvonne Whitley, 71, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her home. Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Hazel and Waco Vincent Robinson.

Celeste will be missed dearly by her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She was very fond of dogs and loved her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Nana.”

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ken Whitley of Kershaw, SC; daughters, Brandy Ghent (Brad) of Landrum, SC, Kerri Mackey (Brian) of Kershaw, SC; grandchildren, Bethany Ghent, Bricen Ghent, Blane Ghent all of Landrum, SC; Lucas Baker, Leah Baker both of Kershaw, SC; brother, Wilbur Robinson (Tina) of Kershaw, SC; mother-in-law, Margie Whitley of Kershaw, SC; sister-in-law, June Robinson of Lancaster, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Bruce Robinson.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Kershaw City Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
