Carol Denise Littlejohn

With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Carol Denise Littlejohn, age 66, of Bethune, South Carolina. Denise was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, companion, and cherished friend whose kindness and love touched all who knew her.

Denise was born on May 25, 1959, in Vicenza, Italy, and peacefully passed away on January 17, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina, surrounded by care and compassion.

She was the beloved daughter of Anna Castellani Hucks of Conway, South Carolina, and the late John B. Hucks. Denise dedicated many years of service to Goodwill Industries, where she retired after serving as a manager for multiple locations. She was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and genuine care for others.

Outside of work, Denise found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, spending time outdoors checking on the dove fields with her devoted partner Greg, and sharing her days with her treasured canine companions, Coco and Dolly.

Denise is lovingly survived by her mother, Anna Castellani Hucks of Conway, South Carolina; her companion and partner of seventeen years, Greg Huckabee of Bethune, South Carolina, whom she affectionately called her “Rock”; her two daughters, Shanna Collins (Jeremy) of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Lindsey Walker (Nathan) of Forest City, North Carolina; and her six grandchildren: Jacob Collins, Cooper Collins, Anna Grace Collins, Austin Walker, Lana Kay Walker, and Addison Walker. She is also survived by her brother, John B. Hucks, Jr. (Patsy), and her sister, Teresa Hucks, both of Conway, South Carolina, along with many friends who will miss her dearly.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Baker Conference Center, 105 North Minor Street, Kershaw, South Carolina 29067. All who know and love Denise are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
