Britten Case "Britt" Hicks

Britten Case “Britt” Hicks, age 59 of (Lake Wateree) Camden, S.C. passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Harry Roosevelt Hicks and Shelby Williams Hicks. Britt was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and attended USC-Lancaster.

He retired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol as a patrolman. He loved to fish, especially in tournaments. He hunted and enjoyed golfing. He also loved a good game of cards. He was an avid sports fan and played basketball in his earlier years. Britt loved the Clemson Tigers.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Brianna H. Barrett and her husband, Carson and Braylee Hicks and a son, Brandon Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Hicks.

The family will greet friends, Sunday afternoon, November 9, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following the visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. T. Jason Moss will officiate.

The Special Olympics were important to the family. Britt’s late brother Mark enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics where he won several medals.
