Brandon Lee Payne, 38, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Saturday, January 15, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Camden, S.C., he was a son of Wendell Ralph Payne and Janet Phillips Bowers. Brandon was a machinist with Aalberts Integrated Piping Systems, Pageland, S.C. He loved woodworking, especially working with cedar. He also enjoyed fishing, mechanic work and all types of construction. Brandon loved the Lord.
He is survived by 2 sons, Joshua Lee Payne and Nick Kelly, both of Elgin, S.C.; his mother and stepfather, Janet P. (Danny) Bowers of Kershaw, S.C.; his father, Wendell R. Payne of Camden, S.C.; his fiancé, Cynthia Graham of Heath Springs, S.C.; numerous aunts and uncles, Cliff (Tonya) Phillips of Kershaw, S.C., Benny (Cindy) Payne of Skokie, IL , Brenda (Chris) Dixon of Camden, S.C. and Todd (Linda) Payne of Elgin, S.C.; cousins, Savannah Phillips, Kassie Payne, Jason Dease, Michael Payne and Courtney Payne.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mouse and Becky Phillips and his paternal grandparents, Mendel and Iva Lee Payne and Gary and Ann Bowers.
The family will greet friends, Sunday afternoon, January 23, 2022, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
A service to remember and celebrate Brandon’s life will be held Monday afternoon, January 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, 7737 Kershaw Camden Highway, Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Rev. Dean Casey will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Phillips family plot in Kershaw City Cemetery.
