Barbara Atkinson Reece

Barbara Atkinson Reece, 85, of Hartsville, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was born in Hartsville, SC, on May 5, 1939, to the late Maxie Atkinson and the late Sarah Catherine Dixon Atkinson.

She retired from Sara Lee Hosiery of Darlington, SC. Barbara enjoyed gardening, dancing, and taking care of her dog, Mollie B and many other animals.

Surviving are her daughter, Maxine Howle; sister, Sara Katherine Tyner; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Howle; brothers, William Atkinson, J.T. Atkinson; sister, Celia Walters, Lula Mae Huggins, and Joyce Gainey.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the members of Agape Hospice, especially, Rebecca and Paulette.
