Barbara Opal Boone

Funeral services for Barbara Opal Boone, 71, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 8, 2009, in Refuge Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Tim Broughton and Donnie Barrett will officiate.

Mrs. Boone died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at her home. Born in the Lucknow Community of Lee County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Mary Hall Hornsby. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Refuge Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; Howard Wesley Boone of the home, a son; Howard Rayford Boone and his wife Jacqueline Ruth of Lugoff, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother; and two sisters.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2009, from 3 to 5 P.M. in the afternoon at Baker Funeral Home.
