Barbara Catoe Holden

Barbara Catoe Holden, age 86, of Kershaw, S.C. went to her heavenly home, on Thursday morning, October 3, 2024, with her family by her side at MUSC Health-Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. She was born on April 28, 1938, to the late Jesse Coleman Catoe and Ethel McManus Catoe. Mrs. Holden was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church and a longtime employee in the textile industry.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; 3 daughters, Sherry H. Branham and her husband, Sidney, of Kershaw, S.C., Barbara Elaine Herndon and her husband, Marshall of Hartsville, S.C. and Sally Ann Faulkenberry of Kershaw, S.C.; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Adams of Lancaster, S.C.; 3 brothers, Charlie Catoe of Lancaster, S.C., Carl Catoe of Ft. Mill, S.C. and Deanie Catoe of Longs, S.C. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Delores Holden of Kershaw, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm James “M.J.” Holden, 2 sons, James Ashley Holden and Tony Dale Holden: 3 sisters, Elsie Catoe Howard, Myra Catoe Deese and Martha Catoe Driggers and a brother, Jeffrey Catoe.

 A service to remember her life will be held privately for the family.
