Ares Ryan Martin, 3 years old, passed away, Saturday, September 12, 2020, from injuries received in an automobile accident with his mother. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of Larry Dale Martin and the late Heather Dyan Sims Martin.
Ares loved Paw Patrol and shooting Nerf guns. He was always smiling.
Surviving in addition to his father are his brother, Erik Logan Martin, age 7; his sister, Skylar Amanda Hope Martin, age 4; his maternal grandparents, Tony Hazel Sims and Angeline Dianne Hilliard Sims; paternal grandmother, Michelle Martin; his aunt, Alicyn Samantha (Trey Barjona) Sims; 3 uncles, Malcom Edward Williamson, Tony Christopher Sims and James Ernest Martin and a number of cousins.
Friends may come by Baker Funeral Home, Friday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and pay their respects and sign the register book. The family will not be present.
The family will be at the home of his aunt, 4714 Catawba Road, Kershaw, S.C. and will also greet friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020, in Open Arms Baptist Church Cemetery, 5401 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Rev. Thomas Sullivan will officiate. Burial will follow the graveside service.
Memorial contributions in memory of Ares may be made to Baker Funeral Home, 210 East Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 to help with funeral expenses.
