Annette Parker Lucas, 90 of Laurel Crest Retirement Community, West Columbia, S.C. formerly of Great Falls, S.C., passed away, Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026, at Laurel Crest Retirement Community. She was born in Kershaw, South Carolina and grew up in the small town of Kershaw. After proudly graduating from Kershaw High school, she began her banking career, starting as a bookkeeper and later transitioning to a customer service agent at various financial institutions. Throughout her life, Annette and her husband, Ralph, relocated to several areas within York, Kershaw and Fairfield counties due to his job with Duke Energy. They spent most of their 60 years of marriage making their home in Great Falls, S.C. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Great Falls, S.C. and grew up as a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Kershaw, S.C. Later in life, Annette was blessed to have wonderful caregivers while living in Great Falls, Missy Fowler and Marsha Hinson.
Annette leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons, Mike Lucas, Bruce Lucas (Lisa) and Jeff Lucas (Anjie); six grandchildren, Madison, Jeffrey, Kendall, Amber, Brandy and Joshua and one great grandson, Jameson. She is also survived by a sister, Kathy P. Dizon (Phil); 2 brothers, Chuck Parker (Barbara) and Rick Parker (Vickie) and her brother-in-law, Erbie Blackwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow W. “Joe” Parker and Bertie Twitty Parker; her brother, Harold Joe Parker and his wife, Peggy and her sister, Gwen P. Blackwell.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Kershaw, S.C.
Following the visitation a funeral service to honor and remember her life will be held in the sanctuary beginning at 11:00 a.m.
The burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
