Obituary for Willie Franklin Baker
. Frank Baker, 85 of Charlotte, NC, met Jesus and his precious wife, “Margie” of 64 years, on Monday, June, 11, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Saturday, June 16, in the sanctuary of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Kershaw. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 o’clock a.m. at the church.
He was born, November 22, 1932, to the late Charlie and Lois Holden Baker. Mr. Baker was President and owner of Wilmar Investments, Inc., Charlotte, NC. He was a custom home builder and built quality homes. He was honored to be featured in the first Homearama in Charlotte.
Those left to cherish his memories include 2 daughters, Ann Baria Kirk and her husband David, Renia Baker Burley and her husband Edwin; 3 grandsons, Wesley Tripp and his fiancée, Lynne Anders, Jamie Tripp and his fiancée, Amorette O’Leary and Gregory Kirk, a great grandson, Ryland Kirk; a brother, Nelson Conway Baker and 2 sisters, Iva Mae Kanipe and Doris Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie “Margie” Johnson Baker and siblings, L.C. Baker, James Baker, Grady Baker and Shelby McKay.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s’ Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 210, Columbia, SC 29210 or Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 603 Oak Ridge Church Rd., Kershaw, SC 29067.
