Obituary for William Luther "Billy" Adams
A graveside service for William Luther “Billy” Adams, 86, of Kershaw, S.C., will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.
Mr. Adams passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016, at his home. Born April 23, 1930, in Kershaw, S.C., he was a son of the late Luther Franklin and Carrie Newman Adams.
Mr. Adams served our country in the United States Air Force and retired from Springs Industries, Grace Bleachery. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Kershaw. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Jean of the home; 2 daughters, Melissa Adams and her partner, Jennifer Almstad of Connecticut, Jeanne Adams Barton and her husband Jimbo of Kershaw; a granddaughter, Anne Marie Barton of Kershaw, and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Fletcher Adams of Cayce, S.C. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Oveida Adams Connell and Johnnie Connell and a brother, Norman Newman Adams. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
