Obituary for Wanda C. Hood
A service to remember the life of Wanda Catoe Hood, 74 of Heath Springs, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Kershaw. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss and Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.
Mrs. Hood, loving wife of 56 years to Robert Marshall Hood passed away, Thursday, September 5, at MUSC Health - Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Bethune, she was a daughter of the late Modie Clifton Catoe and Alice Hunter Catoe. Mrs. Hood retired as a cafeteria manager for Lancaster Co. School District. She was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her son, Richard Allen “Rick” Hood and his wife Dawn; 2 grandchildren, Kylie Alexis Hood and Colton Allen Hood; 3 sisters, LaNelle Terry, Esther Seale and Betty Driggers and a brother, Doug Catoe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister, Dot Adkins and 5 brothers; Preston Catoe, Thomas Catoe, Howard Catoe Van Catoe and Mack Catoe.
The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the residence.
