Voncelle Twitty Outen

Funeral services for Voncelle Twitty Outen, 80, of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Jamie Rogers, Don Knight and Keith Coates will officiate. Mrs. Outen, widow of James T. “Bud” Outen died Wednesday, April 25, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Kershaw, She was the daughter of the late Virge and Mary Dixon Twitty. She was a faithful member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and had retired from Skyline Ltd. Surviving are 2 daughters, Janice O. Gaskins and her husband T.C. of Kershaw; Sonia O. King and her husband Carol, Jr. of Bethune; 4 grandchildren, Chris Gaskins (Mary Ashley), Shelley McCall (Scott), Amber King and Grayson King; 4 great grandchildren, Matthew, Gage, Emiley and Gavin; and a brother, Clayton Twitty of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Catoe and a brother, J.D. Twitty. The family will receive friends, Friday, April 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 186 Kamala Road, Kershaw.
