Vernon Huggins

Vernon Wayne Huggins, 65, of Hartsville, S.C., passed away, Sunday morning, August 7, 2022, at his home. Born in Sumter, S.C., he was a son of the late Vernon J. Huggins, Sr. and Elizabeth Weaver Barefoot. Mr. Huggins was a carpenter and had attended Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He loved to build wishing wells and lighthouses. Mr. Huggins loved all animals and served in the Army National Guard for 21 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Patricia Lynn Wallace Huggins; 3 children, Grayson Maxie Huggins of Hartsville, S.C., Manning J. Huggins of Hartsville, S.C. and Vernon Wayne Huggins, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Caperton and a brother, Greg C. Huggins, of Hartsville, S.C.
