Obituary for Truman C. Payne
Truman Carlyle “Bo Peep” Payne, age 71 passed away, Sunday, September 22, 2019, at his home. Born in the White Bluff Community of Kershaw County on November 13, 1947, he was a son of the late Hubert Elmore Payne and Ella Jane Lucas Payne.
Mr. Payne was a business owner, operating “Bo Peeps” 341 Lounge and Beaver Creek Restaurant. He also did construction work and was a member of White Bluff Baptist Church. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing, camping and race cars.
Surviving are his wife Melissa Jones “Missy” Payne; his daughter, Kendra Kapp and her husband Jake of Nevada; 2 grandchildren, Allyson Vincent and Dallton Vincent of Kershaw; a brother, Nelson Payne of Heath Springs; a special niece, Kelsei Faith Gardner and several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Baker Funeral Home.
Mr. Payne’s wishes were to be cremated.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice in his memory.
