Obituary for Tony Woodward
Thomas Anthony “Tony” Woodward, Jr., 51, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Thursday, May 19, 2022, in MUSC Health – Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Thomas Anthony “Tommy” Woodward, Sr. and Kathryn Horne “Kathy” Woodward. He was a painter. Tony enjoyed fishing and tinkering on old cars. He also was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan and Dale Earnhardt fan.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Erica Woodward and her fiancé, Jose Pereira and Meagan Woodward; his sister, Susan (Timothy) Woodward Hilton, 6 grandchildren, Destinee, Lydia, Bryson, Aubree, Malayah and Landyn; his sister-in-law, Amy Woodward, a special friend of the family, Amelia Veal and 3 nephews, Devin, Allen and Jacob. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Woodward, his sister, Phyllis Tolbert, his brother, Jeffery Woodward, his maternal grandparents, Lloyd “Bill” Horne and Frankie Ann Horne and his paternal grandparents, Johnny Woodward and Etta Woodward.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2022, in the sanctuary of Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs, S.C. Preacher Cotton Pate will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.
