Obituary for Tizzie Mae Snipes
A funeral service for Tizzie Mae Hall Snipes, 93, of Kershaw, S.C., will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, in the sanctuary of Pineview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Snipes, wife of the late Grover Lee Snipes, Sr., died peacefully Friday, December 1, 2017, at KershawHealth, Camden, S.C, with her family by her side. Born in Bishopville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Henry Baker and Callie Elizabeth Hall Baker. Mrs. Snipes retired from Skyline Ltd. and was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane (Robert) Payne; 3 sons, Sam (Linda) Snipes, Larry (Annette) Snipes and Clifford (Patty) Snipes all of Kershaw, S.C,; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Vena Mae Williams of Camden, S.C. and a brother, Jimmy (Jackie) Baker of Kershaw, S.C. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clinton Baker.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at Mrs. Snipes’ home.
