Obituary for Timothy Rabon Horton
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Timothy Rabon “Tim” Horton, 53, of Catawba, S.C., will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, in the sanctuary of Catawba Baptist Church, Rock Hill. The Revs. Ron Richardson and Terry Corder will officiate.
Tim passed away, Tuesday, October 18, at CMC-Pineville. Born in Monroe, N.C., he was a son of Helen Sullivan Horton and the late Donnie Rabon Horton. Tim was a engineer with Suominen Nonwovens, Bethune, S.C. He was a graduate of Clemson University with a BS in electrical engineering. Tim was very active in his church serving as usher and a property and space committee member. He also enjoyed Clemson football and playing golf.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Kershaw, S.C., are his wife, Arleen Horton of the home; a daughter, Lindsey Chandler Horton of Columbia, S.C., a brother, Gregory Carson Horton and his wife Beth Ann of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; 3 step-children, Michael, Kory and his wife Lillian and Kyla and her fiancé Nathan; a grandson, Jaxon and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, S.C. 29730 or Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2140 McBee Highway, Jefferson, S.C. 29718 in memory of Mr. Horton.
