Obituary for Thomas R. Love
Thomas Richard “Tommy” Love, 75, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022, at his home. Born in Rock Hill, S.C., he was a son of the late Willie Heyward Love and Millie Robertson Love. Mr. Love was self-employed and a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. In his own words, “I enjoyed working”.
Mr. Love is survived by his son, Ronnie Plyler and his wife, Alexandria of Kershaw, S.C.; a grandson, Grayson Pate; his brother, Charles Love and his wife, Anada of Kershaw, S.C.; his sister, Dorothy L. Gregory and her husband, Tom of Kershaw, S.C.; special daughters, Patty Reynolds, Amy Deese and Gale Hayes; 2 nieces, Lacey Short and Cherie Love; 3 nephews, John Gregory, Travis Love and Liam Love and his special friend, Linda Kelly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Faile Love and 2 brothers and a sister -in-law, Kenneth Love and Roger Love and his wife, Sheila.
The family will greet friends, Sunday evening, August 14, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 4:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, August 15, 2022, in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Todd Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, 3795 Pleasant Plains Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
