Thelma M. Barfield

A funeral service for Thelma M. Barfield, 88 of Westville will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, October 12th in the sanctuary of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Lugoff, where she was a member. The Revs. Eric Boone and Craigan Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethany Westville Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville.

Mrs. Barfield passed away Thursday, October 8, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Blanche Boone and a homemaker. Mrs. Barfield loved to sew and was a excellent seamstress. Mrs. Barfield was widowed twice, first by Carlyle Moseley and second by Rev. Willie Barfield.

Surviving are her son, Cleon M. Moseley and his wife Sylvia; her daughter, Carolyn Branham all of Westville; 4 grandchildren, Brian Branham, Mitch (Shellie) Branham, Clint (Becky) Moseley and Coby Moseley; 9 great grandchildren, Christiana Trimnal, Lindsey Moseley, Warren Moseley, Todd Moseley, Dustin Branham, Kellee Branham, Mallory Branham, Maggie Branham and Sarrah Branham; 2 great-great grandchildren, Jake Trimnal and Brealynn Trimnal; a brother, Ralph Boone of Camden; 8 step-children, Lucille Brazell, Burdette Conyers, Willie Mae Dennis, Edward Barfield, Ruth Blackman, Peggy Jones, Patricia Sims and Grace Polk; a number of step grandchildren and great grandchildren including Jimmy Moran and Sean Moran. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Clyde Branham, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends following the burial in the Bethany Westville Baptist Church Family Life Center and other times at the home, 3172 Kershaw Highway, Westville.
