Obituary for Sylvia Marie Hinson Matthews
Sylvia Marie Hinson Matthews, 74, of Raleigh, NC and formerly of Kershaw, SC, passed away, Tuesday evening, October 27, 2020, at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living, Raleigh, NC. Born in Camden, SC, she was a daughter of the late Wade Hampton Hinson and Jessie Mae Gandy Hinson. Ms. Hinson was employed for 27 years with an electronics company and was a member of Green Pines Baptist Church, Knightdale, NC. She enjoyed reading Christian literature and sign language.

Surviving are her brother, Ricky Hinson and her special friend, Connie Caudle.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, November 2, 2020, at Abney Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw, SC. Rev. Jared Scott will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hinson.

Memorial contributions in memory of Ms. Matthews may be made to Abney Baptist Church, 5180 Bethune, Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
