Obituary for Sue Cato Taylor
Sue Cato Taylor, age 88, of Pageland, passed away, Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at White Oak Manor, Lancaster. Born in Pageland, she was a daughter of the late Val Verdie Cato and Vera Hicks Cato. Mrs. Taylor retired from Springs Industries as an Administrative Assistant. She was a graduate of Kings College and a charter member of High Point Baptist Church, Pageland. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was an avid Clemson Tiger fan. She loved to cook, and watch Duke Blue Devils basketball and Atlanta Braves baseball. She also loved traveling to Folly Beach, S.C. and the mountains. As a faithful member of High Point Baptist Church, she had served as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School volunteer and member of the WMU.

Mrs. Taylor was married to the late William Lee Taylor, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Patti Taylor Hinson and her husband Ronnie of Heath Springs; 2 grandchildren, Rebekah H. Welborn and her husband Tice of Simpsonville and John D. Hinson of Atlanta, Ga.; 3 great grandchildren, Clay Welborn, Rhett Welborn and Vivian Welborn; a sister, Ernestine Cato Blakeney of Pageland and 2 nieces, Andi Hill and her husband Wayne of Timmonsville and Lori Bellamy and her husband Robert of Myrtle Beach.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, February 22, at 3:00 o’clock p.m., at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor St., Kershaw. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss and Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.

Mrs. Taylor will be laid to rest privately in the High Point Baptist Church Cemetery, Pageland.

A reception will be held immediately following the service, Saturday, at Baker Conference Center for family and friends attending the service.
