Obituary for Steve Randal Short
Steve Randal Short, 71, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Friday morning, January 7, 2022, at his home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Samuel William Short and Betty Jo Mungo Short. He was a painting contractor. Mr. Short enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He also served his country in the United Sates Army during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Short is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sara Kay Beckham Short of the home; his daughter, Laura Short McCarter of Heath Springs, S.C.; his son, Steven Rondall Short and his wife, Renee of Heath Springs, S.C.; 6 grandchildren, Lauren Kell Cash, Phillip McCarter, Emily McCarter, Jordan Thomas (Allison) Short, Madison Nicole Short and Abigail Grace Short; 3 great grandchildren, Chelsea Coates, Colton Coates and Clayton Coates and his brother, Richard “Dickie” Short of Lancaster, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leigh Randal Short.

A visitation will be held at the family home, Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until.
