Obituary for Shirley Truesdale Williams
Funeral services for Shirley Truesdale Williams, 84 of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Sand Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Chadwick Ivester and Chaplain Tom Newboult will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Everette Seaborn and Mary Effie Gardner Truesdale. She was a homemaker and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Mary “Kathryn” Willliams Scott and her husband Leonard of Kershaw, 2 grandchildren, Stacey Scott and Neil Scott. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Kathryn Truesdale and Evelyn Truesdale Horton. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and other times at the her daughter’s home, 1327 Jones Rd., Kershaw. Memorials may be made to Sand Hill Baptist Church, 6895 Highway 341, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 or American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
