Shirley Riek Ahlers

Shirley Riek Ahlers, 80, of Kershaw, SC died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at her home. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lorenz Riek and Mabel Matilda Freund Riek. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ahlers enjoyed gardening and making crafts. She also loved assisting her husband in performing Magic Shows for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John C. Ahlers; her brother, Marvin Riek and his wife Helen and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her son, Mark E. Ahlers.

A memorial service will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC at a later date and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
