Obituary for Sara Newman Hilton
Funeral services for Sara Newman Hilton, 84 of Kershaw, will be held at 4:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Truesdale will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hilton, loving wife of the late James William Hilton, Sr. died Sunday, May 6, at A. Sam Karesh Long-term Care, Camden. Born in Bethune, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Annie Watkins Newman. Mrs. Hilton retired from Duracell and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of Heath Springs Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star # 259.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Laura W. Hilton; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Hilton Williams and her husband Kent, Angela L. Hilton and 2 great grandchildren, Connor Williams and Caroline Elizabeth Williams all of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by a son, James William Hilton, Jr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 9, one hour prior to the service beginning at 3:00 o’clock p.m. at the funeral home.
