Alice Ruthie Walker Haile, age 85, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C., Born in Magee, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Washington Walker and Hattie Mae Ware Walker. Mrs. Haile was married to the late John Rambo Haile and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Heath Springs, S.C. She owned and operated a home nursery for several years.
She is survived by her children, John Richard (Teressa) Haile, James Robert (Donna) Haile, Teresa June (Jim) Wolcott and Tequila Ann McAllister; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, James Walker, Rev. Thomas M. Walker and Gerald G. Walker; 2 sisters, Marie W. Roberts and Eva Nell Farley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Walker and a sister, Clara Bee McNair.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023, in Beaver Creek Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Buddy Thomas officiated. Burial followed in the cemetery.
