Obituary for Ruth Ann Oviatt Post
Funeral services for Ruth Ann Oviatt Post , 77, of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019, in the sanctuary of Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs. The Revs. Kelvin Hinson and Michael Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw.

Ms. Post passed away at her home Monday, January 7, 2019. Born in Warren, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. Oviatt and Gladys Brewer Oviatt. She was a seamstress and a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. Ms. Post enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and traveling.

Surviving are her son, Terry (Ann) Earles of Kershaw; 2 daughters, Karen E. (John) Phillips of Kershaw and Donette (Michael) Pridgen of Clover; step-children, Dale Post of Rock Hill, Michael Post of Rock Hill, Donna (Dink) Deese of Heath Springs, Dawn (Kevin) Gaston of Warren, OH and Dianna Post of Middlefield, OH; 9 grandchildren, Chip (Jen) Hasbrouck, John (Anita) Hasbrouck, Caroline Phillips, Kelsie (Justin) Threatt , Dylan Pridgen, Nolan Pridgen, Rylan Pridgen, Edward Hutto and Lee Ann Hutto; 10 great grandchildren; a number of step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Karen) Oviatt, Jr., Bristolville, OH, Judy Martin of McDonald, OH, Roger Oviatt of Bristolville, OH, Marilyn Reed of Spartansburg, PA, Nancy Miller of Warren, OH; half-siblings, Tommy Allen and J.R. Allen both of Middletown, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-brother, Jimmy Allen.

The family will receive friends, Friday, January 11, 2019, beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. until 2:00 o’clock p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter Karen Phillips.
