Obituary for Russell Roberts
Russell S. “Rut” Roberts, 55, of Heath Springs, S.C., died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C. Born in Lancaster County, S.C., he was a son of the late James Willie and Edna Robinson Roberts. He was a carpenter and a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Linda Coker Roberts of the home; a son, James Russell Roberts and his girlfriend, Shelby Simons and 3 siblings, Jean R. Faulkenberry and her husband Dan of Fort Lawn, S.C., Weldon Roberts of Heath Springs, S.C. and Sylvia R. Harmon and her husband Patrick of Tampa, FL.
The family will hold a memorial service, Monday, February 27, 2017, at 5:00 o’clock p.m. in the sanctuary of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Kelvin Hinson and Rev. Steve Neal will officiate. Burial will be private.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the memorial service, Monday, February 27, 2017, beginning at 4:00 o’clock p.m. in the church Family Life Center.
