Ruby Pittman Bernard

A graveside service for Ruby Pittman Bernard, 89 of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2015, in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Hugh McKinney will officiate.
Ms. Bernard died Friday evening, July 10, at Springs Memorial Hospital. Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was a daughter of the late Alva M. and Mattie Curry Pittman. She was a former longtime employee of B.C. Moore and Sons in Kershaw. She was also a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Julie B. Owens and her husband Richard of Westville; two grandchildren, Rebecca Owens of Camden and Lloyd Owens, Jr. of Westville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alva Pittman, Jr., and her sister, Helen P. Jones.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
