Obituary for Royce Andrew Stewart
A graveside service for Royce Andrew Stewart, 86 of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in Florence Memorial Gardens, Florence, SC, Monday, February 16, 2015. The Rev. Bobby Joyner will officiate. Mr. Stewart died Thursday, February 12, 2015, in White Oak Manor, Lancaster, SC. Born in Alma, GA, he was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Lessie Guthrie Stewart. Mr. Stewart had been an electrician for 41 years before retiring. He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and served in the National Guard. Mr. Stewart also loved to fish, visit new places and was a excellent water skier. Surviving are his loving wife, Lavonia Rutledge Stewart of the home; two daughters, Gayle (Danny) Isgett of Florence, SC, Angie (David) Callahan of Villa Rica, GA; a son, Ryan (Teresa) Stewart of Villa Rica, GA.; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Iris Stewart; a son, Craig Stewart; three brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 4:00 to 5:30 o’clock p.m. in the afternoon at Baker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sand Hill Baptist Church, 6895 Highway 341, Kershaw, SC 29067. Baker Funeral Home is serving the Stewart family.
