Rose Mary Knight, age 93, of Kershaw, South Carolina and formerly of New Paris, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Kershaw, South Carolina. Born on March 23, 1929, in Hagerstown, Wayne County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Chester E. & Cida A. (Coomes) Keever. Rose was a 1947 graduate of the Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was an Auditor for the CIGNA Insurance Company, formerly Insurance Company of North America. She was also a Member of the Eastern Star and attended the St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Paris.
She was preceded in death by husband of 70 years: Edward Allen Knight, Jr. in 2019; a son: Larry Steven “Steve” Knight in 2011; a brother: Arthur Chester Keever in 2003; 2 sisters: Florence Evelyn Balay in 1996 and Waneta Alice Hull in 2007.
Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Jim & Peggy Knight of Kershaw, South Carolina; grandchildren, Karen Steiner, Kristina (Carlon) Vanchure, Jamie (Andrew) Parker, Kevin Stogner and his partner, Josh Sellers; 8 great grandchildren, Kayla, Steven, Abby, Mason, Hunter, Madylen, Cameron, and Abel; a sister: Elizabeth Patience Northern and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, November 13, 2022, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 301 E. Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
