Obituary for Rebecca Jane Hilton
Funeral services for Rebecca Jane Hilton, 74, of Swansea and formerly of Kershaw, will be held, Wednesday, September 26, at 2:00 o’clock p.m., in the sanctuary of Center Grove Baptist Church, Kershaw. The Revs. Dr. Sam Catoe , Luther Harmon and Mr. Robbie Hilton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in the church sanctuary.
Miss Hilton passed away, Saturday, September 22, 2018. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas Hilton and Tressie Mae Catoe Hilton. Miss Hilton retired from the State of South Carolina working as a secretary. She enjoyed working puzzles, and attending her Senior Citizens Group in Swansea. She loved her dogs and was an avid Atlanta Braves and South Carolina Gamecock fan.
Surviving are her siblings, John Franklin “Frankie” (Ann) Hilton, Robert “Robbie” Hilton of Belmont, N.C., Roger Hilton of Rock Hill, S.C., James B. “Jimmy” Hilton of Kershaw and Kathy H. (Foster) Faile of Swansea, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by 2 brothers, Paul Hilton and Richard Thomas “Tommy” Hilton.
Memorial contributions in memory of Miss Hilton may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
