Peggy Reeves Hunter

A memorial service for Peggy Joyce Reeves Hunter, 79 of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Coppedge will officiate. Ms. Hunter died Friday, February 28, 2014, at her home. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Lucille Beam Reeves. She retired from Dupont Co. and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Ms. Hunter enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, cooking, reading and working in her flower garden. Surviving are 3 sons, Roderick Alan McPherson , Michael David McPherson both of Kershaw and Russell “Rusty” Brian McPherson of Chesterfield; a sister, Barbara Bailes of Mt. Pleasant and 3 grandchildren, Cody Michael McPherson, Brian Kenneth McPherson and Summer Caroline McPherson. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Lee McPherson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home, 402 Woodland Drive, Kershaw.
