Obituary for Peggy Ann Barrett Craig
A funeral service for Peggy Ann Barrett Craig, 66 of Jefferson, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, in the sanctuary of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, Kershaw. The Revs. James Aldridge and Steven Aldridge will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Craig, widow of David Eugene Craig died Saturday, July 16, at PalmettoHealth-Richland Hospital, Columbia. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Walter “Buddy” and Sadie Humphries Barrett. She was the owner of P & D Greenhouse and a homemaker. Mrs. Craig was a faithful member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer. She also loved to fish.
Surviving are her children; Roy Craig and his wife Tina of Kershaw, Jeanette Privette of Jefferson, Mike Craig of Jefferson, Billy Knight and his wife Ashley of Jefferson, Nancy Bowers and her husband Jesse of Lancaster and Crystal Rose of Jefferson; 16 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Goatley and 2 brothers; Alvin Barrett and his wife Cheryl and Rickey Barrett all of Jefferson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Marie Knight.
The family will receive friends, Monday, July 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 5431 Eubanks Road, Jefferson.
