Obituary for Pauline H. Taylor
Mrs. Pauline H. Taylor was the loving wife of the late Ira E. Taylor, Jr. She passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Roberts Hunter. She retired from the Kendall Company and was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church where she served on the Prayer Chain Committee, Planning Committee, and Bible School Kitchen Committee. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed and loved her Sunday School Class, The King’s Daughters. She loved to read her Bible and work word search puzzles. Her favorite pass time was cooking for her family. She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Hendrix and her husband Anthony; Janet Catoe and her husband, Dennis, all of Kershaw; one granddaughter, Courtney Catoe Jones and husband Chris of Clarksburg, MD and one step grandson, John Hendrix and wife April of Pageland, SC. She also is survived by step-great grand children, Gavin and Hannah Hendrix of Pageland. Also surviving are three brothers, Ira B. Hunter of Pageland, Thomas Hunter (Gail) of Kershaw, Rev. Carl Hunter (Rilda) of Franklinton, NC and two sisters, Barbara H. Carnes (T.C.) of Lancaster and Sue Humphries (Doug) of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by brothers, Earl, Jack, Bobby Hunter and one sister, Almetta Estridge. The family will receive friends, Monday, March 10, 2014, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor’s funeral service will be conducted from the Sand Hill Baptist Church, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Bobby Joyner, Rev. Carl E. Hunter, and Thomas Hunter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sand Hill Baptist Church, 6895 Highway 341, Kershaw, SC 29067 or Mt. Pisgah Buffalo Rescue Squad, c/o Ralph Vincent, 1150 Buffalo Creek Rd., Kershaw, SC 29067.
