Obituary for Pasty Hicks Holden
Funeral services for Patsy Hicks Holden, 75 of Camden, SC will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 28, 2014, in Wateree Baptist Church, Camden. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw. The Revs. Charles Miller and Bobby James will officiate. Mrs. Holden died Friday, April 25, 2014, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Braskey L. and Ethel Mical Hicks. Mrs. Holden retired as office manager of the South Carolina Department of Transportation, Camden Office. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, shopping, reading and volunteering. She was a 1957 graduate of Kershaw High School and a member of Wateree Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Willie T. Holden of the home; a son, Greg Holden of Camden and a daughter, Deborah Utecht and her husband Darren of Alpharetta, GA; a brother, Harry Hicks and his wife Ethel of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Maurice Hicks and 3 sisters, Mary Ann Williams, Jewell Hagins, and Jannette Hilliard. The family will receive friends, Sunday, April 27, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Wateree Baptist Church, 2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC 29020.
