Obituary for Pamela McManus "Pam" Young
Pamela Lawann “Pam” McManus Young, 57, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Monday evening, December 7, 2020, after a battle with cancer at her home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., she was a daughter of Henry Thomas McManus and Brenda Whitley McManus. She was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1981 and was the manager of Atlantic Pools, Lugoff, S.C.
Pam loved to cook, travel to the beach and spend time with her family and friends. Pam also loved her Big Mac family and all her special cousins.
A graveside service will be held, Thursday afternoon, December 10, 2020, at 3:00 o’clock p.m., in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Jackie Knight and Mr. Daryl Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects and sign the register, Wednesday, December, 9, 2020, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and also Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Kershaw are her daughter, Carly Jane Young ; her sister, Kim McManus; very special uncle and aunt, Johnny and Tammy Whitley, all of Kershaw, S.C. and a host of friends she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Mitchell “Mitch” McManus,her step-daughter, Amanda Horton and her first cousin, Jonathon Whitley..
