Obituary for Norman Hilton, Jr.
A graveside service for Norman Hilton, Jr., 76 of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in Center Grove Cemetery, Kershaw. Rev. Bobby Wallace will officiate. Mr. Hilton died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at his daughters home. Born in Kershaw, SC, he was a son of the late Norman, Sr. and Annie Belle Catoe Hilton. He retired from Springs Industries as a weave room supervisor and was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fishing and South Carolina Gamecock Football. Surviving are three daughters, Janet (Robert) Humphries of Lugoff, SC, Kim (Nicky) Bowers of Lancaster, SC, Crystal (Walter) Meier of Hartsville, SC; two sons, Jeff (Donna) Hilton of Lancaster, SC, and Billy (Angie) Hilton of Kershaw, SC; sixteen grandchildren ; a number of great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (Earl) Rhinehart of Newberry, SC, Ruth Watts of Kershaw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Randy Wallace. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter Kim, 573 Dalton Ridge Drive, Apt. H, Lancaster, SC. Memorials may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church- Cemetery Fund, 236 Scout Cabin Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Baker Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Hilton.
