Obituary for Natalie Taylor Truesdale

Natalie Taylor Truesdale, age 73, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023. Born in Camden, S.C., she was the daughter of James Ansel Taylor and Hazel Anderson Taylor. Ms. Truesdale was the owner of Truesdale Sewing where she was a seamstress to many and was always ready for an alterations challenge. She loved her family, meeting new people, and helping others. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening, carpentry, and fishing.


Ms. Truesdale is survived by her daughter, Bridgett Terry Plexico and her husband, Brad of Lancaster, S.C.; two grandsons, Jason Plexico of Greenville, S.C. and Dillon Plexico of Lancaster, S.C.; special friends, Linda McClain, Libby Burr, and Mike Burr.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Lee “Dick” Truesdale, III; 5 brothers, Hilbert Taylor, Joel Taylor, Everette Taylor, Jim Taylor, and Lorenzo “Larry” Taylor; 4 sisters, Clarice Taylor Faulkenberry, Lavetta Taylor Stryjewski, Elner Taylor Hill, and Iris Taylor Steinkner.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Karesh at Beechwood in Camden, S.C., for the loving care given to their mother and grandmother.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests the planting of a flower or tree for remembrance of Natalie.


The family will greet friends, Tuesday evening, March 7, 2023, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.


A graveside service celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning, March 8, 2023, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden, S.C. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Rev. Michael Owens will officiate.


Arrangements are under the care of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.
