Obituary for Nancy H. Pate
Nancy Gwendolyn Hinson Pate, 82, of Kershaw, passed away, Thursday morning, March 26, 2020, at MUSC Medical Center Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Hazel James Hinson, Sr. and Florence Willis Hinson. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, Heath Springs and retired from Springs Industries after 42 years of service. She loved to sew, draw and take care of her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Carl Thomas “Pete” Pate of the home; her daughter, Tammy P. Thompson of Kershaw; her granddaughter; Kayla Ormand and her husband Mason of Lancaster; her brother, Ronnie Hinson of Camden and 2 sisters-in-law, Edith Hinson and Pauline Hinson both of Kershaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Hazel James Hinson, Jr., Wendell C. Hinson, Carol Hinson Bowers and her husband, Raeford and Julious Hinson and his wife Silivia; and a sister-in-law, Nadine Hinson.
