Obituary for Myrtle "Myrt" Davis
Myrtle Boykin “Myrt” Davis, 95, widow of Heyward Davis, died Friday, July 16, 2021, at Kershaw Health, Camden, S.C. Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane Rodgers Boykin. Mrs. Davis was a founding member of Community Bible Church where she served as the secretary, treasurer, Sunday School teacher and choir member.
Surviving are 2 sons, Fulton Davis and his wife, Ruth and Terry Davis; 3 grandsons, Matt Davis and his wife Jennifer, Jacob Davis and his wife, Kayla and Drew Davis; 3 great granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Gardner and her husband, Daniel and Morgan D. Busbee and her husband, Ethan and Theo Davis; 2 great grandsons, Heyward Davis and Avery Davis; a great - great grandson, Brantley Gardner and a great - great granddaughter, Paige Gardner. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Community Bible Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the sanctuary of the church at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
