Obituary for Michael C. "Mike" Gandy
Michael Charles “Mike” Gandy, 60, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Agape Hospice House of the Midlands, Columbia, S.C., following a short battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of Charles Gandy and Mary Lou Rollins Gandy. “Mike” was a former store manager for Food Lion, Lancaster, S.C., Small’s Food Center-Pleasant Hill, Heath Springs, S.C. and worked in the Lancaster County Library. He loved music. He especially enjoyed playing his guitar and the history of music. He also was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and enjoyed reading westerns.
In addition to his parents of Kershaw, S.C., he is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Susan W. Gandy; 2 sons, Joshua C. Gandy and Dylan (Kendra) Gandy all of Columbia, S.C. and his sister, Trish (Rick) Crout of Columbia, S.C.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday afternoon, March 19, 2022, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Reverends Ronnie Hinson and Dr. April Williams will officiate.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
