Obituary for Michael Allen Tarte
Michael Allen “Mike” Tarte, 48, of Stanley, NC and formerly of Westville, SC, died, Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas, NC. Mike was the son of Grover S. Tarte of Clover, SC and Gayle Vincent Hunter of Lancaster, SC. He was the grandson of the late Grover Cleveland Tarte and Daisy Lucille Tarte and the late Sidney Ben Vincent and Margaret Taylor Vincent.
Surviving in addition to his father and mother are his wife, Marsha Thomas Tarte of the home and one daughter, Cameron Riley Tarte of the home. He is also survived by his siblings, Lynda (Jeff) Watson of Kershaw, SC, Daryl (Karl) Tarte of Cayce, SC and Patricia (Joel) Hinson of Heath Springs, SC. Mike had many nieces and nephews that he adored.
The family request that memorials in Mike’s memory be made to GIST Cancer Research Fund, 3905 NE 167th Street, North Miami Beach, FL 33160.
The family will host a celebration of life reception and drop-in, Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor St., Kershaw, SC 29067 and will receive friends other times at the homes of Lynda and Jeff Watson and Patricia and Joel Hinson.
Burial will be private in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
