Obituary for Melody Kay Blackmon
Melody Kay Cauthen Blackmon, 64, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at her home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., she was a daughter of the late William Brown and Lola Rollins Cauthen. Mrs. Blackmon had retired from Duracell after 25 plus years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Michael “Mike” Blackmon, Sr.; 2 daughters, Tina Peavy and Kayla (Ryan) Holden; her son, Cory Blackmon; 8 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Cassidy, McKenzie, McKayla, Mason, Chase, Landen, and Channing and 1 great grandson, Sailor Anderson. She was preceded in death by a son, Mikie Blackmon, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, December 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Frontline Biker Church, Kershaw, S.C. Burial will follow in Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Heath Springs, S.C. Preacher Cotton Pate will officiate.
The family will receive friends, Saturday afternoon, December 18, 2021, at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C. from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
