Obituary for Melissa Watson Hopkins
Funeral services for Melissa Watson Hopkins, 54 of Kershaw, will be held at 3 o’clock p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2019, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss and Jeremy Ussery will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, June 8, from 3 – 5 o’clock p.m., at Baker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hopkins passed away, Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of William Edward “Billy” Watson and Nancy Scott Watson. She was an sales associate for Wal-Mart, Camden and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Melissa enjoyed making crafts, floral arranging, baking and decorating cakes.
Surviving are her husband, Eddie Hopkins; her daughter, Paige Watson of Charleston; her grand dog, Ruger; her sister, Lynn (Earl) Powers of Heath Springs; her brother, Bill Watson and his fiancé, Jeannie of Camden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews that she loved dearly and a host of friends.
