Obituary for Mary Ann Byrd
Mary Ann Byrd, 75, of Kershaw, passed away, Monday morning, September 28, 2020, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late John Lee Byrd and Lillie Lou Elza Payne Byrd. She was a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are her special friend and caretaker, Roland F. “Rick” Williams; 2 brothers, John Lewis (Mozelle) Byrd and Bobby Lee (Shirley) Byrd; 4 nieces, Lynn (Charles) Welch, Gwen Byrd, Ellen Byrd and Ann Byrd; great nephew; Lee Welch; great nieces, Jessica (Jonathan) Payne, Caroline Dalton; great-great-nephew, Deuce Dalton; great-great-niece, Gloria Dalton and a number of cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Byrd Gordon; 2 nephews, Bob Byrd, Jr. and Robert Mark Byrd and a great nephew, Chad Byrd.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Thursday morning, October 1, 2020, in Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Adam Wright will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
The family will greet friends, following the service in the cemetery.
