Obituary for Marion "Pete" Faulkenberry
Funeral services for Marion “Pete” Faulkenberry, 86 of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, August 28, in the sanctuary of Frontline Biker Church. Preacher Cotton Pate and Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pineview Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Faulkenberry , widower of Olivia Godwin Faulkenberry passed away, Sunday, August 25, at WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia. Born in Winnsboro, he was a son of the late James Edward Faulkenberry and Betty Dillon Faulkenberry. He was a former employee of the Kendall Co. and was the former owner of C & O Auto Sales and Kershaw Tire Co. Mr. Faulkenberry was the oldest member of Frontline Biker Church. He also enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, watching football and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Faulkenberry played on the Kershaw High School Football Team which won the state championship in 1951 and served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956.

Surviving are his 3 children; Joyce Ann Horton, Marilyn Price and Calvin Faulkenberry; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Rollings and a brother, Johnny Faulkenberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Faulkenberry and 2 brothers, James Arthur Faulkenberry and Hazel Eugene Faulkenberry.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, August 28, beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Frontline Biker Church-Building Fund, 8617 Kershaw-Camden Highway, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
