Obituary for Margie West Watson
Funeral services for Margie West Watson, 91, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, November 7, in the sanctuary of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Bobby James will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Watson, widow of Earl K. Watson died Saturday, November 4, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Alexander and Leola Horton West. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Louise Baker Sunday School class at the church.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Joe) Lynn of Lancaster; 3 sons, Richard Earl (Ann) Watson of Westville, Matthew (Sylvia) Watson and Hugh (Wanda) Watson all of Kershaw; 9 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; a sister, Nancy (Eric) Hilton; 2 brothers, Thomas West and Johnny (Myra) West all of Kershaw; a sister-in-law, Doris West of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Watson; a grandson, David Watson; 3 sisters, Sarah Evans, Mabel West and Kate Reeves and a brother, Walter West.

The family will receive friends, Monday evening, November 6, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 837 Hickory Head Road, Westville, SC.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Watson may be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 603 Oak Ridge Church Rd., Kershaw, SC 29067.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lancaster Convalescent Center for the love and compassion the have shown Mrs. Watson over the past 9 years.
